Resources for Groovy from the trenches Groovy's benefits ultimately come from its terse syntax. This means you can knock out code quickly, which of course means more features faster for stake holders. I've been a fan of Groovy for a number of years now and roughly 80% of the code I write these days is Groovy. Of course, this code is 100% compatible with Java and its diverse and deep infrastructure. Best of all, leveraging Groovy is as easy as placing a single jar file in your classpath. The learning curve for Groovy is quite small compared to other languages because Groovy is really just a subset of the Java syntax with some sugar thrown in here and there. Thus, with a jar file in your classpath and a bit courage to try something new, you'll be good to go!
